This site and the McAlpine Cyber and AI social media accounts are run by McAlpine Cyber and AI Pty Ltd (ACN 701 577 862), Sans Souci NSW, Australia. By using the site, downloading a template or interacting with my posts, you agree to these terms. Questions go to haden@mcalpinecyber.ai.
General information, not advice
The articles, tools and posts here are general information about cyber security, AI governance and compliance. They aren't legal advice, and they aren't tailored advice for your organisation. Before you rely on anything here for a decision, get advice that fits your situation, from me under an engagement or from your own lawyer or adviser.
Free templates
Templates such as the Payment Change Policy are free for you to use and adapt inside your own organisation. Please don't resell them or republish them as your own product. They're a starting point, so check they suit your business, your contracts and the law that applies to you before you adopt them.
Paid work
Prices and service descriptions on the site are a guide. Paid work, including vCISO, assessments and reviews, is only done under a signed engagement letter or proposal, and that document's terms apply to the work instead of these.
Social media accounts
I publish to McAlpine Cyber and AI's own accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest through Social Studio, an in-house tool that isn't offered to the public. Each platform's own terms also apply when you use it. How Social Studio handles account access and data is set out in the privacy notice.
Content I post is mine or used with permission. Satire and cartoon content, such as Yoga Girl, is fiction, and any resemblance to real people is not intended.
Using the site properly
- Don't try to break, overload, scrape at scale or probe the site or its forms for vulnerabilities without my written permission. If you think you've found a security issue, please email me and I'll thank you for it.
- Don't send spam, malware or anyone else's personal data through the forms.
Copyright
The site's text, design, logo and videos belong to McAlpine Cyber and AI Pty Ltd unless marked otherwise. You're welcome to quote short parts with a link back. Anything more than that needs my permission.
Liability
I work hard to keep the site accurate and running, but it's provided as is, and I can't promise it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss that comes from using the free content, templates or tools on this site.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.

Links to other sites are there because they're useful. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for them.
Changes and governing law
I may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top will change when I do. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and its courts have jurisdiction.
